“She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.”
Proverbs 31:20

Head of the Giant Ministry's Women Helping Women's division is focused on connecting women in the community to the women at our shelter to build relationships with each other. The vision is based on Titus 2:3-4 "The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children," A wonderful example of this truth is found in the Book of Ruth. Naomi taught Ruth what she should do, and through Ruth's obedience to Naomi's teachings, God blessed them both with a kinsman redeemer and placed Ruth into the lineage of Christ.
HGM believes that women who are mature in Christ are specially used of God to reach and impact women that need the Lord and discipleship training. There are many ways that women can become involved in regular volunteer work at HGM's Women and Children's Shelter. We need ladies to be a presence at the shelter interacting with our guests. We need ladies that are willing to teach discipleship classes to our guests in the morning devotion time, as well as our evening chapel services. Our guests with children need someone to help with child care during chapel service, so that they can devote their attention to the Word of God and the instruction being given. There is also a need for women to teach life skills classes such as nutrition, meal planning, cooking, keeping a neat home, finances, child training, and much more.
We need you. We need the specific, God given abilities that you have to make a difference in the lives of the guests at our women and children's shelter.

The impact Head of the Giant Ministry has had on the homeless population of the CSRA
Since opening the first homeless shelter for Women and Children in March of 2012, HGM has served: 350 Families, 810 children, and 200 single women with a 98% success rate of transitioning these guests out of homelessness and into stable housing. Over 90 women and over 30 children have made professions of faith in Christ. With your help we can reach so many more for the Kingdom of God!
